LikuidBlu offer a full professional service as well as the energy and dynamism of people who love what they do. We’ve played at hundreds of weddings and functions between us and can advise or accommodate to ensure you get exactly what you need.

 

We have a range of equipment that we own already, which are included in our prices. For weddings, functions, corporate events, fundraisers, etc, we will supply our PA, amps, speakers, instruments, microphones, as well as a basic lighting rig (disco lights plus band lights). We find this more than meets the requirements of most of the functions we perform in.

But there's always an exception! And for these occasions we would be able to hire in various other pieces of sound, lighting or staging equipment, generators, backdrops, projectors etc, and would be able to advise you of the cost of these once we have gone through your requirements.

  Before you ring us, you may want to have a think about the following questions, which will help us tailor your event to suit you:  
   

·        Type of event: whether it's a wedding, important birthday, charity fundraiser, festival, christmas meal, corporate event, or any other function, likuidblu is the band that will pack the dancefloor, play the songs you want to dance to and give you the event everyone will be talking about for years to come!

·        Time of start / finish. This is the time the event starts. For weddings this may be the time evening guests arrive, but bear in mind we will need to be sound-checked before then. We like to leave 90-120 minutes to sound-check, which enables us to familiarise ourselves with the acoustics of the venue. If you are using the room immediately before you want us to start playing (eg wedding breakfast, awards ceremony, raffle) you may need us to arrive, set-up and sound-check earlier in the day.  Check with the venue regarding end times, and when the live music has to finish, as venues vary depending on their licences.

·        Number of sets. We tend to play anything from 2x 45 minute sets, to 3x 50 minute sets, depending on the venue, timetable, timing of the buffet, and the time the evening ends, but we can do whatever you need, there's no real hard-and-fast answers. ·        Learning songs. With enough notice (normally 3 months minimum) we are often able to learn particular requests for you. This can include, but doesn't have to be limited to, your first dance, favourite song, or a song with a special meaning. Discuss this with us at the time of the booking, as we need to factor this in when costing out the event, to allow extra rehearsal time etc.

·        Use of lighting rigs. This is included in the price of all functions, events and weddings, but if you don't require it (eg the DJ is bringing them or the venue already has them) then we can bring the price down a bit. Alternatively, if you wanted some particular lighting rig or specialist equipment we can often arrange and run this for you.

·        Arranging music between sets. We are more than happy to play a CD, iPod, laptop etc through our PA between sets. You can either choose the music yourself, or we can put on some good tunes for you. This means you don't have to pay out for a DJ as well as us, and you get the tunes you want! This is included as standard for all the events, functions and weddings.

·        Travel is included in the price we quote. Please give us the address and postcode of your venue so we can give you our best price.
