The Band

Lets face it most people seem to know Brendan already, certainly if you go anywhere near Loughborough. For those of you that don’t, his soulful tones have graced acoustic acts and bands covering a wide range of popular music, before he formed LikuidBlu. Never happier than when bouncing about at the front of the band, Brendan owns Russian Doll versions of the Beatles, and actually watched Liverpool win the Champions League in Istanbul.

Has played professionally or semi- professionally since he was 15, kicking around blues rock bands in Devon. Since then he has played everything from techno to country, swing to salsa across the UK and abroad, as well as peddling his idiosyncratic folk-asian-blues acoustic act to anyone that will listen. Once appeared semi- naked on the Big Breakfast, can’t believe you missed it…

Chris - Bass and Backing Vocals

Chris plays grown up basses in proper orchestras, and funky African licks when he’s not busy holding LikuidBlu together. As if this wasn’t talent enough he actually understands all the complicated gizmos we use on stage and has healing hands…don’t ask how we know.

Since Alan took up the piano as a youngster, he has fronted rock bands on the bass and electric guitar, and enjoys producing electronic beats from time to time. Settling at the back of the stage with Likuidblu, he enjoys his role as master synth & keys player, and has even been known to bang a tambourine for the band! With an all Roland set-up, he can emulate the sounds of The Killers and Sam Sparro, as well as Pulp and the Kaiser Chiefs. He once shared a conversation on an aeroplane with Wayne Sleep – now that’s showbiz!

You try singing the out of time stutters in My Generation whilst playing the drums. Gaz has all the passion and flair learned from years in original bands and a very nice range of shoes. Has the Led Zeppelin symbols tattooed on his arm- how rock‘n’roll is that?
